MOTORIZED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON MRCA TRAILS

The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority (MRCA) currently maintains, more than 55 km of trails throughout the City of Timmins in Conservation Areas and on local trails, such as the Scout Rock Trail, Bridge to Bridge Trail, Bart Thomson Trail, Golden Springs Trail and the Hersey Lake Trail system.

These popular trails provide areas for passive enjoyment by hikers and bicyclists throughout the City.  They also provide the City of Timmins with first-class hiking and outdoor recreation facilities that are second-to-none. The high value of these trails to the physical and mental well-being of citizens in the community is well recognized.

To help ensure public safety, the MRCA is asking that anyone who sees an ATV or other motorized vehicle(s) on the trail to contact the MRCA and/or Timmins Police with the license number of the motorized vehicle or ATV.

Violators could face charges and fines under the Trespass to Property Act and/or the Conservation Authority Act of Ontario.
