The Timmins Naturalists and the Wintergreen Fund for Conservation are hosting the Timmins Christmas Bird Count on December 23, 2017.

The 24 km count circle is centred at the junction of highway 655 and highway 101. Participants are asked to meet between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. at Mike’s restaurant next to the Bon Air motel to coordinate coverage of the area. For those joining or leaving, the group will meet again at the Tim Hortons located across the road at 400 Algonquin Blvd. E.

Participants are asked to bring a pencil or pen, note pad and a map of the count area. It is also recommended to bring the tally sheets, a camera, binoculars and a friend.

Please note that all tally sheets should be returned as soon as possible after the count.
